Work-Life Balance - Part 2 - How to identify the imbalances
Here are few things to keep in mind to identify the imbalances in work and life.
- Do you know when you are under stress, if not identical to see if you are happy and contented with everything around you
- Are the stress levels too high and not making you focus on your goals
- Are there any health issues due to which the concentration levels are dipping
- Is there a repetitive/constant problem that is compounding and bringing your morale and energies down?
- At the moment in your life is your focus area on Work or life, which one is very important for you right now
- Did you prepare a backup plan for someone to take some load of your responsibilities at work or at home in your absence
- How good are your personal relationships with your family and close friends and relatives
- Do you want to handle all the responsibilities everywhere by yourselves for the fear of losing to others
If the answer to any of the 5 questions above is yes then there is definitely an imbalance between your work-life.
What you need to do to identify when the imbalance is occurring
- Start to learn to delegate work/responsibilities to your people around
- Build a friendly and hassle-free environment
- Accept the heaps and valleys in personal and professional life as it is
- When you are not able to meet the short-term targets due to impediments, understand that there is an imbalance somewhere
- How far have you come with your life goals, if not very close to achieving the goals, there is some issue somewhere
- If any of the two things (Health, Wealth, Work and Life) of the four is impacted, then there is a direct impact everywhere
- When your sleep is disturbed due to any compounding issues, this is an indicator that something is going wrong
